Sound is everywhere, you just have to know how to get to it. I found a piece of wire slowly walking along the old railroad path a 1/4 mile or so parallel to the Marina Del Rey part of the bike path by Admiralty way. There was a huge long line of Eucalyptus trees that made it peaceful just 20 feet from the busy world. Looking down I saw a beat up bent wire and picked it up continuing to slowly walk down my personal shaded path. I put a few bends on it and put it to my ear with my thumb and fore finger. Thumping it and gently pounding it, I heard sounds I’ve never heard. I was taken. Bending and making a piece I kept putting it up to my ear hearing the sounds of Metal and Bass that lit a candle in my mind. I came back to my shop and put a Wood Nut for my Ear and eventually put a kernel to hit and finish off the “Ear Harp” as I started calling them. Over the Years I’ve made many. It’s a personal thing and I’ve taken it to a place everyone can hear the material’s sound. No 6 is made for you.
